Welcome back! National Assn. For Home Care and Hospice
2010 Home Care & Hospice March on Washington & Law Symposium & Exhibition
April 11-14, 2010, Washington, DC

Hard to believe in this day and age, there will be no specific sessions at this always-well- attended national meeting devoted to telehealth, electronic medical records, or anything not “Back to Basics.” But it’s true.
Still, it’s good to attend for updates on conventional care issues (like chronic care patients’ needs in the 21 st century) and for opportunities to drum up interest in telehealth in government circles during this meeting’s scheduled “March on the US Capitol” which offers opportunities to have breakfast with members of the U.S. Senate, and meet with members of the House of Representatives and other lawmakers who can/could further home care’s important work.
American Telemedicine Association
May 16-18, 2010, San Antonio, Texas

This exclusively telemedicine-focused meeting will highlight at this year’s annual meeting outcomes and evidence-based findings for telemedicine and telehealth use. It will feature about 350 peer-reviewed presentations, with special sections for home-based telemedicine, remote monitoring for elders, and successful applications of telemedicine in Medical Home models.
American Association for Homecare Conference

June 8-10, 2010, Washington, DC
In DC again, and very political—with talks by Tom Scully (former administrator of CMS) on the political climate for homecare issues; by Dena Puskin (of the Office for Advancement for Telehealth) on telehealth; and by many others. There will be ample time scheduled in between talks for attendees to keep appointments scheduled beforehand with Congress in DC about home care issues.
